ACM SIGCHI is the leading international community of professionals interested in research, education, and the practical application of human-computer interaction. We are the Sri Lankan chapter, which empowers the Sri Lankan research and development community in the field of Human-Computer Interaction.
SIGCHI is the premier international society for professionals, academics, and students interested in human-technology and human-computer interaction (HCI). The vision of the SIGCHI is to enhance the members’ ability to innovate and understand technologies for the greater public good. ACM SIGCHI facilitates an environment where members can invent and develop novel technologies and tools, explore how technology impacts people’s lives, inform public policy, and design new interaction techniques and interfaces. We are an interdisciplinary field comprised of academics, practitioners, and educators, and we welcome a variety of approaches to solving these complex problems. The mission of ACM SIGCHI is to support the professional growth of its members who are interested in how people interact with technologies and how technology changes society.
